Katrine Dirckinck-Holmfeld is a visual artist, an independent researcher and educator, and a member of the Uncertain Archives research collective. Working across media and in collaboration with various communities, she uses audio, video installations, performance, and text to explore the debris of broken histories and assemble their fragments into new compositions. She holds a PhD from the Department of Arts and Cultural Studies, University of Copenhagen (2015). Her artistic research explores fragments of cultural memory, colonial histories, and migration embedded in the built environment, in public spaces and in archives, and presented in video installations. Performative presentations and publications include: Voices in the Shadows of Monuments (2022); Whose Gold is This? (2022); Archives that Matter (2018–19), Entangled Archives (2020–22), Rematerialisation (2022), Reroutings (2022).
