Kirse Junge-Stevnsborg (DK)

Kirse Junge-Stevnsborg (b. 1974) holds a master’s in Aesthetics and Culture/Art history and has been the Director of Malmö Art Museum since 2019. Previously, Kirse Junge-Stevnsborg was project manager of ART2030, and in 2009-2018 she was the Artistic Director of Den Frie Centre of Contemporary Art in Copenhagen.

From 2006-2009, she was the Director at Gävle Konstcentrum in Sweden, and earlier on she worked at Dunkers Kulturhus in Helsingborg, The Center for Danish Visual Arts, Copenhagen, Gallery Nicolai Wallner, Copenhagen and Tate Gallery in London.

Kirse Junge Stevnsborg also serves as board member of several art institutional boards and has been the chair woman of Foreningen af Kunsthaller i Danmark for several years. She has written texts on contemporary art, given lectures and curated, organized and commissioned numerous Danish and international thematic exhibitions, solo exhibitions, and seminars.
