The work of Laurits Malthe Gulløv (b. 1994) spans text, graphics, video, sculpture and installation. His subjects express an ever-recurring theme: the various endeavours by humankind to establish order in a seemingly opaque, tumultuous world. Against this backdrop, Gulløv’s work features attempts to create meaning and cohesion between apparently obsolete elements. Gulløv’s artistic universe is inhabited by utility items, systems of thought, geological processes and digitality with various degrees of scale and abstraction. His works reflect a cautious ambition to pave the way for alternative notions of mankind’s place in a hyper-technological world.
Laurits Gulløv, MFA graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2021. His works have been exhibited at venues including OK Corral (Copenhagen), Villa Kultur (Copenhagen) and the Royal Danish Horticultural Society’s Garden in Frederiksberg (Copenhagen).
