Mikkel Hammer Elming has a Master’s degree in Art History from Aarhus University with specialisation in curation of contemporary art. Since 1 January 2022, he has been the director of Glas – the Museum of Glass Art, where he has spearheaded a new course and major changes. He is a co-creator and former leader of the Association for Contemporary Art (Foreningen for samtidskunst) and the art space Regelbau 411. At the same time, he has run an independent curatorial practice and was associated with Kunsthal Aarhus as a permanent curator. Elming’s practice is characterized by curatorial experiments with institutional structure and the development of collective interdisciplinary collaborations.
