Program

Nina Nowak (1984) works in Berlin, Germany. She studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, the Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm, and at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf where she graduated in 2015. Her work has been shown internationally amongst others at Darren Knight Gallery, Sydney, museum kunstpalast Düsseldorf (DE), Galleri Susanne Ottesen Copenhagen (DK), Museum Ostwall (DE), Entrée Bergen (NO).

In her work, Nina is interested in the borderland of animated and supposedly dead matter. She works in different techniques and media such as installations, sculpture, 3D techniques, and graphics.

As part of Art Hub Copenhagen’s Studio Program in 2019, Nina examined the interrelations of material matter and processes of transformation. She researched the dynamics of water flow and collaborated with scientist Tomas Bohr from ITU in a talk at RESPOND FESTIVAL 2019.
