Tora Schultz ^(DK)

Tora Schultz’ (b. 1991, Denmark) sculptural practice discusses the social structures and invisible gender-bias data that exist in the power language of objects. Schultz uses post-minimalist sculpture as a tool to recontextualize everyday objects with simple sculptural displacements and tragicomics – often with reference to institutional design and the stereotyping of bodies. With a consistent attention to the specificity of material and form, she playfully extrapolates the subtle social tensions inherent in objects around us.
