Program

Viktoria Wendel Skousen lives and works in Copenhagen and has a MFA from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts School of Visual Arts and Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien. She graduated in 2015 and has, among others, exhibited in ReMap Athens, Aarhus Kunsthal, Roskilde Festival Artzone, Alice Folker Gallery, Kunstbygningen i Vrå, Vermillion Sands and latest in Düsseldorf Photo+ Biennale for Visual and Sonic Media.

Relationships are the crucial concern in Skousens’ praxis. Her work shifts between questioning structural issues and manifesting private experiences. Changing roles with her male colleagues, creating plants bigger than humans or otherwise making intimacy and poetry play the role of politics. She works in several different medias including photography, printmaking, textile, text and performance.

In 2013 she founded the internet-based art magazine and archive for artistic writing, Texted.
