Rebecca Krasnik (DK)

Artist

Program

Rebecca Krasnik works between photography and computer-generated imagery. She places her images in artists books and sculptural installations, contrasting a bodily experience with digital representations of time and space. With her work, that combines new computer technology and old printing techniques, she lets echoes from the past shed light on how technological developments continue to change the ways we create and interact with images today.

Originally from Copenhagen Krasnik holds an MFA from School of Visual Arts in New York and a BA University of Westminster in London. In addition to her artistic practice, Rebecca Krasnik works on curatorial projects. She has served as head of board at the artist run space Bladr – a platform for artists’ books (2020-2024). And in 2019 she founded the curatorial project Lazed Leaves, which places artworks in relaxed positions on sofas in people’s homes.
