Art + Architecture

Art and architecture have always been closely connected. With our program Art + Architecture we frame a number of interdiciplinary collaborations to explore the junction between the two fields.

What happens when the artist, who creates the images we reflect in, and the architect who creates the spaces we live in put their minds together or up against each other? How does art affect architecture and vice versa, how do artists and architects interact with questions about ethics and structures of society? That are some of the many questions we deal with in the programme Art + Architecture, thus exploring the junction between the two fields. Art and architecture have always been closely connected and have in different ways interacted with each other. In light of today’s crises, it is of utmost necessity to think and work interdisciplinary to create new solutions and new approaches to the world we are living in.

During 2022, we have kicked the program off in collaboration with Copenhagen Architecture Festival with a series of talks and guided tours situated at the junction between art and architecture. Among others, we have touched on subjects such as climate, urban development, art in public spaces, welfare architecture, and much more.
